today i’m sharing a new tutorial!
it is a 3d star garland that i made for our collaborative star gazing party over at confetti sunshine!
this garland is perfect for the 4th of july, memorial day, christmas, birthdays, and of course – a star gazing party!
its easy to make and super cute!
you will need:
stars of various sizes
(i used my cricut machine to make these)
(i love to get mine from the twinery)
scoring board and scoring tool
(i don’t have a ‘real’ one so i just used my cricut tool and the ridges on my paper cutter…#makeitwork)
(next time i will opt for a smaller hole punch)
line up a point of the star with a scoring line.
score every point to the opposing side of the star.
fold along each score. bend and mold the star so that the points protrude and inbetween each point receeds to make the star 3d
use a hole puncher (like i said earlier- i would use a smaller one next time)
to punch a hole on opposing sides of the star
thread twine through and continue until garland is to desired length
and what did i do with this adorable 3d star garland?
i sent it to confetti sunshine for our blogger colaborative star gazing party!
how cute is this?!
