{real life} tips to keep your kids hydrated

tips to keep your kids hydrated

most of you probably remember our awesome trip to colorado – it was so fun staying active with my daughter, passing along some words of wisdom, encouraging her to reach for her dreams, set her goals high and just go for it! well i am back partnering with Nestlé® Pure Life® water to bring you 5 tips to keep your kids hydrated! AND a chance to win a trip for FOUR to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!!!

i don’t know about you, but my family is back the grind with school schedules and sports practices already… it seems like we are always on the go grabing whatever is convient for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. here are some tips to keep your kids hydrated while on the move this fall.

1 pack fruits and veggies – bento box!

packing fresh fruits and veggies will help keep your kids hydrated and provide a healthy snack! you can see a list here of fruites and veggies with high water content. bento boxes are super popular right now and you can find tons of amazingly creative ideas like this one from bentorific to keep your kids lunches and snacks healthy, fun, and hydrating.

2 always have water handy

take water everywhere you go! wether you are on the trail or running errands around town – the great thing about  Nestlé® Pure Life® water is that it comes in a variety of sizes – some that are perfect for kids! toss one into thier lunch or sports bags, bring one in your purse, carry it with you on errands, bring it when you are walking, and try to have it available as often as possible! instead of reaching for a juice or soda on the go – you will already have water with you. i try to keep at least four bottles of  Nestlé® Pure Life® water in my fridge at all times! there is nothing as refreshing as ice cold water!

3 give them independence and make it special

magnet cups

my kids are young- but they can get their own water! how did we do it? well i saw this idea on made and loved it! it is a great way to give your kids independence. we have special cups for each person in our family. they feel like ‘big kids’ and want to always use ‘their special cup’ – because of this they drink way more water! … and i’m not going to lie – it is SO nice that they don’t have to ask me anymore!

4 fun ice cubes
