white chocolate bark with pretzel and peppermint. so this is delicious. just sayin. you should probably make one batch for yourself and then one batch to give as a gift. maybe two batches for yourself. its gooood. i love the salty sweet of the chocolate and pretzel but the peppermint sets it over the edge! i’m not a huge peppermint fan so if you want to up the peppermint be my guest & find the perfect balance for your taste – but you will love this. its easy and is the perfect holiday gift for neighbors… if there is any left over! its great to serve at a holiday party as well. this past week i co-hosted a fun event at West Elm with the talented Glory of Glorious Treats and this is one of the things we served! (i’ll be sharing more details on that night in a post this week)
melt half of your chocolate and spread it evenly on parchment paper. crush a few handfuls of pretzels (i am so precise huh?) and press them gently into the chocolate while it is still warm. then allow this to set and cool completely.
melt the other half of your white chocolate, and crush your pretzels (you will want them crushed more finely for this layer) and peppermint. you will want them ready to go – i found that this layer cooled faster than the first and you will really want the topping to stick while the chocolate is warm. spread the melted chocolate on top of the previous layer and quickly sprinkle with the pretzel and peppermint. if peppermint is really your thing, consider using it in the middle layer as well!
once cooled, use the parchment paper underneath to break it apart into pieces.
i like this method because i feel like you can get lots of pretzel in there! when i made this as one layer with the toppings just on the top, i wanted more pretzel! so this was my solution. i think it worked great.
