Trending Tuesday: How to decorate shared rooms

Decorating for Two

Hello! Happy Tuesday! Today’s trend alert is for everyone who’s trying to find something fun and functional to do with what I like to call “Double Trouble”- How to decorate shared rooms!  To get the bunk beds or not to get the bunk beds? Well, if you’re not in the market for a set of bunk beds or if you are searching for the next best thing here it is! Decorating for two takes a whole new meaning today with 6 fun ideas on decorating double rooms. Who said a beautifully designed space can’t be for the kids too? I’m such a believer in the theory that someone will take care of a space if it is nicely put together.  These spaces are just that!

For the Girls:

This sophisticated bedroom is one for the books.  With lettered plaques above each bed marking who’s is who’s this space is a shared oasis.  One dresser serves as two nightstands for a space saving trick!

This bedroom has a pop of color and mix of patterns that will turn heads and make everyone jealous! One night stand to be shared but the pillows on each bed separate the space for each resident in this bohemian bedroom.

This girls bedroom is so simple yet portrays a certain elegance and style.  For the fashionista’s, each has a fashion print above the bed for a splash of individuality.

For the Boys:

The sports room has been taken to a new level with this shared bedroom.  Some snowboarding silhouette decals moving from one bed to the other and the recycled pallet beds bring this sporty boys room to life.

Monograms are not just for the girls.  This bedroom is neutral with a splash of color… and a splash of monogram. The oversized initials hanging above each bed and the personalized linens may take the show, but did you notice the personalized picture frames in between the two beds?

This bedroom screams patriotic and nautical with it’s serene simplicity and bold colors all into one.  This bedroom would be great for those beach bums in training!
