Holiday Cracker Toffee Bark With Chocolate and Almonds
  • 1 cup butter (must be real butter - no substitutes)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 40 saltine crackers (about 1 sleeve)
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  1. Cover the bottom and sides of a cookie sheet with foil.
  2. Pre-Heat the oven to 400 degrees
  3. Spray foil with non-stick spray
  4. Place 40 salitines on the cookie sheet with sides touching but not overlapping. Top with pretzels in a single layer. Set aside.
  5. Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in the brown sugar
  6. Bring to a rolling boil. Boil for exactly 3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and point immediately and carefully over saltines and pretzels evenly.
  8. Bake 5 minutes at 400 degrees.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips evenly over the pan. After a few minutes they chocolate will melt from the heat of the toffee and you can spread it over the whole pan.
  10. Top with sliced almonds
  11. Let cool completely then refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Break into desired pieces and enjoy!
